Robert graduated from Mount Holly High School (the finest high school in the land!) in 1972, and went to North Carolina State University, where he was privalged to watch Lou Holtz coach for 4 years, and David Thompson, Monte Towe, and Tommy Burleson and crew bring home a NCAA National Championship in 1974. “Those were the best days of my life!” Robert has said, and he still have a great passion for NC State. Sometimes he still wishes he was back in college! Robert graduated in December 1977 with an English Education degree.
Robert was challenged by his parents to always strive to make the community a better place to live, work and play. “All of the activities I have listed here have hopefully accomplished that challenge.” Robert has always endeavored to make his community a special place where his wife, children, mother, and grand children live today. Robert takes the same approach with his work: “My passion in providing insurance coverage to my clients. I want to make sure my clients are properly protected in the event of an unfortunate accident, or home or business fire/claim.”
It has been an honor for Robert to do what he loves doing for over 20 years, and he loves working in the town that he grew up in. A town that gave so much to his family and himself in his formative years. Robert will always strive to help his fellow citizens, family, and friends make the community an even better place today and for many years to come!
